Since 1991, Dr. V.S. Chochezi and Staajabu, a mother daughter poetry duo originally from Camden, NJ, now living in Sacramento,  have self-published eight books of poetry, one Sci-fi Anthology, produced 2 spoken word CDs and produced poetry readings at Carol's Books, KINKS International and GOS Art Gallery Studios in Sacramento.

They have made over 500 appearances as featured readers, speakers or presenters, panelists and workshop facilitators at poetry venues, forums, workshops, conferences, conventions, political forums, rallies, churches, festivals, schools, colleges, community programs, radio and television programs and events in Sacramento, the Bay Area and beyond.
